Mexico’s Claudia Sheinbaum Responds to Peter Schweizer’s ‘Invisible Coup,’ Denies Consulates Are Trying to Sway U.S. Elections

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has recently responded to allegations made by renowned investigative journalist and senior contributor at Breitbart News, Peter Schweizer, in his latest book The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon. The book claims that Mexico has been using its consulates to interfere in United States elections. Nonetheless, President Sheinbaum has strongly denied these accusations, stating that Mexico has always respected the sovereignty of other nations and has never meddled in their political affairs.

The claims made by Schweizer have caused quite a stir in the media, with many questioning the integrity of Mexico and its consulates. However, President Sheinbaum has been quick to address these allegations and provide a clear and convincing response. In her statement, she emphasized that Mexico has always maintained a strong and transparent relationship with the United States, based on mutual respect and understanding.

It is no secret that Mexico and the United States share a long and complex history, marked by both challenges and successes. Both countries have worked tirelessly to strengthen their relationship and address common issues such as immigration, trade, and security. The Mexican government has always been committed to upholding international norms and promoting cooperation between nations.

President Sheinbaum categorically denied the claims made by Schweizer, stating that Mexico has never used its consulates to influence any election in the United States. She clarified that consulates are established to provide assistance and support to Mexican citizens living abroad, and not to interfere in the political affairs of other countries. In fact, Mexico has always encouraged its citizens living abroad to follow the laws and regulations of the country they reside in.

Furthermore, President Sheinbaum stressed that Mexico has always respected the democratic process of its neighboring countries. Mexico has always stood for fair and transparent elections, and any claims of interference are baseless and unfounded. She stated that Mexico values its relationship with the United States and will continue to work towards strengthening it.

The allegations made by Schweizer in his book have been met with strong reactions from both the Mexican and American governments. The Mexican Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the book, stating that it is based on biased and unverified information. They also stressed that Mexico is committed to maintaining a respectful and cooperative relationship with the United States.

In addition, the United States State Department also released a statement, expressing their confidence in Mexico’s commitment to respecting the sovereignty of other countries. They reiterated that Mexico has always been a valued partner of the United States and that the claims made by Schweizer are without merit.

It is evident that the claims made by Schweizer in his book have caused unnecessary tension between the two countries. However, with President Sheinbaum’s swift response and the support from both governments, it is expected that the issue will soon be put to rest. Mexico and the United States have many more pressing matters to address, and it is essential that they continue to work together towards the betterment of their citizens.

President Sheinbaum’s response to the allegations made by Schweizer is a testament to Mexico’s commitment to upholding international norms and promoting strong relationships with other nations. As a country, Mexico has always valued its ties with the United States and will continue to promote cooperation and understanding between the two countries.

In the end, it is crucial to remember that baseless allegations and unfounded claims should not be used to undermine the efforts of nations to promote peaceful and prosperous relationships. Mexico remains committed to fostering good relations with its neighbors, and any insinuations of malicious intent are unfounded and should be disregarded.
