Exclusive – EPA Deputy Administrator: Trump’s Deregulatory Agenda Will Foster Affordability

The Trump administration has been making headlines for its various policies and actions since taking office. One such policy that has been gaining attention is President Donald Trump’s deregulatory agenda. Many have been questioning the impact of this agenda on various sectors, especially the environment. However, according to EPA Deputy Administrator David Fotouhi, this deregulatory agenda will not only have a positive impact on the environment but also foster affordability for the average American.

During an exclusive event with Breitbart News, Fotouhi shared his insights on how the current administration’s deregulatory efforts are creating a more affordable and prosperous future for the American people. He stated that the Trump administration’s focus is not just on reducing regulations for the sake of it, but rather on streamlining regulations to ensure maximum efficiency and affordability.

Fotouhi highlighted the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) efforts to roll back what he called “outdated and burdensome regulations” that have been hindering economic growth and progress. He noted that the EPA is working to strike a balance between protecting the environment and promoting economic growth, and this is evident in the recent regulatory reforms that have taken place.

One significant example mentioned by Fotouhi is the repeal of the Clean Power Plan, which was implemented during the Obama administration. This regulation targeted reducing greenhouse gas emissions from power plants and was estimated to cost the economy billions of dollars. However, after careful review and analysis, the EPA determined that this regulation would not only be costly but also ineffective in achieving its intended goals. Therefore, the Trump administration took decisive action to repeal it, saving the American people from unnecessary financial burdens.

Aside from repealing regulations, the EPA has also been working to streamline regulations for industries such as agriculture, energy, and manufacturing. Fotouhi explained that these efforts are aimed at reducing compliance costs for businesses, which will eventually lead to lower prices for consumers. This will directly benefit the average American who is trying to make ends meet in an ever-increasingly expensive world.

Fotouhi also pointed out that the deregulatory agenda has already yielded significant results. He mentioned that during Trump’s first year in office, federal agencies withdrew 1,579 regulations, resulting in a savings of $8.1 billion. This is a significant achievement that has had a positive impact on businesses and individuals alike.

Furthermore, Fotouhi emphasized that the Trump administration’s actions are in line with the American people’s expectations. He cited a recent survey that found that 73% of Americans agreed that the government should cut regulations that are no longer necessary. This shows that the deregulatory agenda is not only beneficial for the economy but also aligns with the people’s sentiments.

In conclusion, the current administration’s deregulatory efforts are aimed at fostering affordability and prosperity for the American people. As stated by EPA Deputy Administrator David Fotouhi, these efforts are not just about reducing regulations but about streamlining them to ensure efficiency and promote economic growth. The results of this agenda have been significant, and the American people can look forward to a more affordable future thanks to President Trump’s leadership.
