Exhibition to explore the making of America to feature rare Declaration of Independence

We are proud to announce a major exhibition that will take you on a journey through one of the most significant events in American history – the birth of the United States of America. Revolution 250: The Making of the USA will open on 23 May 2026, just in time to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence on 4 July 2026.

This exhibition will be a celebration of the courage, determination, and resilience of our founding fathers and the American people who fought for freedom and independence. It will showcase some of the most significant letters, papers, maps, and artifacts that played a crucial role in shaping the nation we know today.

Revolution 250: The Making of the USA will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the birth of a nation and to gain a deeper understanding of the events that led to the creation of the United States of America. The exhibition will take you back in time to the 18th century, where you will experience the struggles and triumphs of our forefathers.

As you walk through the exhibition, you will come across rare documents such as the original draft of the Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson, and the final version signed by all 56 delegates. You will also have the chance to see George Washington’s personal copy of the Constitution, with his handwritten notes and annotations.

But it’s not just about the documents and artifacts; Revolution 250: The Making of the USA will also feature interactive displays and immersive experiences that will transport you back in time. You will be able to step into a replica of the Continental Congress and witness the debates and discussions that took place during the drafting of the Declaration of Independence.

The exhibition will also highlight the contributions of lesser-known figures who played a crucial role in the American Revolution. From women who supported the war effort to African Americans who fought for their freedom, their stories will be brought to life through interactive displays and multimedia presentations.

Revolution 250: The Making of the USA will not only showcase the events that led to the birth of our nation, but it will also explore the impact of the American Revolution on the world. The exhibition will feature maps and documents that show the expansion of the United States and its influence on global politics.

We are also excited to announce that the exhibition will feature a special section dedicated to the Founding Fathers, where you can learn more about their lives, ideologies, and contributions to the American Revolution. From Benjamin Franklin’s inventions to Alexander Hamilton’s financial policies, this section will provide a deeper insight into the men who shaped our nation.

We believe that Revolution 250: The Making of the USA will be a truly enlightening and enriching experience for all visitors. It will not only educate but also inspire and ignite a sense of patriotism and pride in our country’s history.

We invite you to mark your calendars and join us in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by visiting Revolution 250: The Making of the USA. This exhibition will be a testament to the enduring spirit of America and the ideals that our nation was founded upon. We look forward to welcoming you in 2026. See you there!
