Charlie Kirk Saw It Coming: Former FBI Director Comey Now Faces Federal Trial

Former FBI Director James Comey’s federal indictment on charges of making false statements and obstruction of justice has come as no surprise to conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. For years, Kirk has been warning the public about Comey’s actions and now, his words are taking on new significance.

Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, has been a vocal critic of Comey since his time as FBI Director. In 2016, Kirk wrote an opinion piece for Breitbart titled “FBI Director James Comey is a Danger to Democracy.” In the article, he highlighted Comey’s mishandling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation and questioned his integrity as a law enforcement official.

But it wasn’t just the email scandal that Kirk had concerns about. He also criticized Comey for his handling of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. Kirk argued that Comey’s actions, including leaking memos to the media, were politically motivated and showed a clear bias against President Trump.

Despite facing backlash for his criticisms, Kirk stayed true to his beliefs and continued to speak out against Comey. In a tweet from April 2018, he wrote, “James Comey is a disgrace to the FBI and to our country. He should be held accountable for his actions and the damage he has caused.”

Now, with Comey facing a federal trial, Kirk’s warnings are being validated. The indictment, which was handed down by a grand jury in Washington, D.C., alleges that Comey leaked classified information to the media and made false statements to Congress.

This is not the first time that Comey has faced accusations of wrongdoing. In 2018, the Department of Justice’s Inspector General released a report outlining multiple instances where Comey had violated FBI policies and procedures. The report also criticized Comey for his handling of the Clinton email investigation.

But despite the mounting evidence against him, Comey remained defiant and even went on a media tour to promote his book, “A Higher Loyalty.” This only further solidified Kirk’s belief that Comey was more concerned with his own personal gain than upholding the law.

Kirk’s warnings about Comey are now more relevant than ever as the former FBI Director faces a federal trial. But even in the face of Comey’s indictment, Kirk is not gloating or reveling in his predictions coming true. Instead, he is using this as an opportunity to remind the public about the importance of holding those in positions of power accountable for their actions.

In a statement, Kirk said, “This is a victory for the rule of law and a reminder that no one is above it, not even the former head of the FBI. It’s time for Comey to face the consequences of his actions and for the American people to demand integrity and honesty from their leaders.”

Kirk’s message is clear – we must demand accountability from our leaders and not let them get away with unethical or illegal behavior. And with Comey’s trial set to begin, it serves as a reminder that justice can prevail, even against those who hold the highest positions of power.

In the end, Charlie Kirk’s repeated warnings about James Comey have been proven right. But more importantly, this ordeal serves as a reminder to always question those in positions of authority and to never shy away from speaking out against wrongdoing. And with leaders like Kirk leading the charge, we can ensure that justice is served and our democracy is protected.
