Work to Replace Windows in Our Building Continues to Protect and Conserve Our Collections
As we continue to strive towards preserving our collections, we are excited to announce that the next phase of our window replacement project will begin on Monday, June 16th. This time, we will be focusing on the first floor of our building, replacing the windows in the 1970s section.
Our existing aluminium double-glazed windows have served us well for over 40 years, but it is now time for an upgrade. As technology and materials have advanced, we have the opportunity to improve the protection and conservation of our collections even further.
The decision to replace our windows was not taken lightly. We understand the importance of maintaining the historical integrity of our building while also ensuring the safety and preservation of our collections. After careful consideration and consultation with experts, we have chosen the best windows for our building and collections.
The new windows will not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of our building, but they will also provide better insulation and protection against harsh weather conditions. This will not only benefit our collections but also improve the overall energy efficiency of our building. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and this is just one step towards achieving that goal.
We understand that this project may cause some inconvenience, but we assure you that it is necessary for the long-term preservation of our collections. We have taken measures to minimize any disruptions and have scheduled the work to be completed as efficiently as possible.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our dedicated team of professionals who have been working tirelessly to ensure the smooth execution of this project. Their expertise and attention to detail have been crucial in making this project a success.
We would also like to express our gratitude to our patrons and visitors for their understanding and support during this time. Your continued support is what drives us to constantly improve and preserve our collections for future generations.
We are excited to see the transformation that these new windows will bring to our building. Not only will they provide better protection for our collections, but they will also enhance the overall experience for our visitors. We cannot wait for you to see the results for yourselves.
In conclusion, we are confident that the replacement of our windows will greatly benefit our building and collections. We are committed to preserving our history and this project is a testament to that. We look forward to welcoming you to our newly upgraded building and showcasing our collections in a better and safer environment. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
