James Carville: Bringing El Salvadoran National Abrego Garcia to U.S. Should Be at Top of Democrats’ Agenda

As the debate over immigration continues to rage on in the United States, Democrat strategist James Carville has called for the return of deported Salvadoran national Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the country. Despite being arrested with “rolls of cash and drugs” and alleged to be a member of the notorious MS-13 gang, now deemed a terrorist organization, Carville believes that bringing Garcia back to the US should be a top priority for Democrats.

In an episode of his “Politics War Room” podcast, Carville stated that Garcia’s case should be a “top agenda” item for Democrats. He argued that Garcia’s deportation was a result of the previous administration’s harsh immigration policies and that it is the responsibility of the current administration to correct this mistake.

Garcia’s story is a tragic one that highlights the flaws in the US immigration system. He was brought to the US as a child and grew up in the country, but was later deported to El Salvador in 2018. Despite having no family or connections in El Salvador, he was sent back to a country he barely knew. And now, with the designation of MS-13 as a terrorist organization, his chances of ever returning to the US have become even slimmer.

But Carville believes that it is not too late to right this wrong. He argues that Garcia’s case should be seen as a symbol of the larger issue of immigration reform in the US. By bringing him back, Democrats can show that they are committed to fixing the broken immigration system and providing a path to citizenship for those who have been living in the shadows.

Moreover, Carville points out that Garcia’s deportation was not based on any criminal activity but rather on his immigration status. He argues that it is unfair to punish someone for being brought to the country as a child and growing up in the only home they have ever known. By bringing Garcia back, Democrats can show that they value the contributions and potential of immigrants, regardless of their immigration status.

Some may argue that bringing Garcia back would set a dangerous precedent and encourage others to break the law. But Carville believes that the circumstances of Garcia’s case are unique and should not be used to justify harsh immigration policies. He also emphasizes that the US has a responsibility to protect those who were brought to the country as children and have no ties to their country of origin.

The designation of MS-13 as a terrorist organization has only added to the urgency of bringing Garcia back to the US. With this label, Garcia’s chances of receiving asylum or any other form of relief have become even slimmer. It is now up to Democrats to take action and show that they stand with those who have been unfairly targeted by the previous administration’s immigration policies.

In conclusion, James Carville’s call for bringing Kilmar Abrego Garcia back to the US should be seen as a rallying cry for Democrats to prioritize immigration reform. By doing so, they can show that they are committed to creating a fair and just immigration system that values the contributions of immigrants. Garcia’s case is a symbol of the larger issue at hand and it is time for Democrats to take a stand and fight for justice for all immigrants.
