He was pulled over by police while banned from driving. The excuse he gave was laughable

On a seemingly regular day, Mathew Pointer was caught for the fifth time driving while disqualified. It was a shocking revelation for the authorities as well as the general public. But what was even more surprising was his excuse for committing the same offense repeatedly – it was described as ‘pathetic’ by the authorities. Let’s delve deeper into the incident and try to understand the gravity of the situation.

Mathew Pointer, a 35-year-old resident of New York, was first caught driving while disqualified in 2010. He was disqualified for a period of two years and was fined heavily. One would assume that this punishment would have been enough to deter him from committing the same offense again. But Pointer proved everyone wrong. In 2013, he was caught again, driving while disqualified for the second time. This time, his license was suspended for four years and he was also sentenced to community service. But Pointer seemed to have not learned his lesson and in 2016, he was caught for the third time and his license was suspended for a period of five years.

One would think that after being caught thrice and facing severe consequences, Pointer would have realized the seriousness of his actions and would have stopped driving while disqualified. However, it was not the case. In 2018, Pointer was caught driving while disqualified for the fourth time, and his license was suspended indefinitely. And now, in 2021, he has been caught for the fifth time, with his license being suspended for a period of 6 years.

When questioned by the authorities, Pointer’s excuse for driving while disqualified for the fifth time was described as ‘pathetic’. He claimed that he was going through a tough time in his personal life and driving was the only way he could cope with the stress. This excuse not only shocked the authorities but also left the general public appalled. How could someone use their personal problems as an excuse to break the law repeatedly?

Driving while disqualified is a serious offense and is punishable by law. It is a violation of the trust placed in an individual by the authorities when they are granted a driver’s license. It is not only a risk to the individual’s own life but also to the lives of others on the road. Repeatedly committing this offense shows a lack of regard for the law and a disregard for the safety of others.

Pointer’s excuse also sets a dangerous precedent. If this behavior is not condemned and punished severely, it may encourage others to follow suit. It sends out a message that it is acceptable to break the law and put the safety of others at risk if one is going through a personal crisis.

It is also crucial to acknowledge the efforts of the authorities in catching Pointer each time he committed the offense. It is not an easy task to monitor and track down individuals who are driving while disqualified. The authorities have shown their dedication and commitment to uphold the law and protect the safety of the public.

This incident serves as a reminder for all of us to take our responsibilities as drivers seriously. We must understand the importance of following traffic rules and regulations, not just for our own safety but also for the safety of others. It is essential to realize that driving is not just a right, but also a privilege that must be exercised with care and caution.

In conclusion, Mathew Pointer’s excuse for driving while disqualified for the fifth time can only be described as ‘pathetic’. It not only shows a lack of accountability for his actions but also a lack of respect for the law. It is a wake-up call for all of us to be responsible citizens and respect the traffic rules and regulations. We must also support the authorities in their efforts to maintain law and order on the roads. Let us all strive to make our roads safer for everyone.
