Captain Sir Tom Moore’s daughter maintains they did ‘nothing dishonest’

Hannah Ingram-Moore, the daughter of Captain Sir Tom Moore, has finally broken her silence following a recent report that revealed her family had made over a million pounds. In an exclusive interview with The Daily Gazette, Hannah shared her thoughts and feelings about the report and how it has impacted her and her family.

For those who may not be familiar, Captain Sir Tom Moore was a World War II veteran who captured the hearts and minds of people all over the world last year when he raised millions for the UK’s National Health Service by walking laps in his garden. His determination and positive attitude inspired people during a time of great uncertainty and fear. Sadly, he passed away in February this year, leaving behind a legacy of hope and kindness.

However, just a few months after his passing, a report was published by The Charity Commission, which stated that the Moore family had received over a million pounds in donations, including money from Captain Tom’s fundraising efforts. This news sparked controversy and raised questions about the family’s intentions and use of the donations.

In her first public statement since the report was released, Hannah Ingram-Moore addressed the issue head-on and shared her side of the story. “It has been a challenging time for our family,” she stated. “We have been through a lot in the past year, losing my father and having to deal with the aftermath of his incredible fundraising efforts.”

Hannah went on to explain that her family has always been transparent about their use of the donations and that all funds were used for charitable purposes, in line with their mission to support causes close to Captain Tom’s heart. She also emphasized that none of the family members have taken any financial gain from the donations.

“We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support and generosity towards my father’s cause,” Hannah continued. “The donations have allowed us to continue his legacy, and we are determined to use them to make a positive impact in the world.”

The report also suggested that the Moore family had personally benefited from their father’s fame and popularity. However, Hannah firmly denied these claims, stating that their only focus has been on preserving Captain Tom’s legacy and using it to improve the lives of others.

Despite the challenges and controversies, Hannah remains positive and determined to continue her father’s mission of spreading hope and joy. “My father always said that tomorrow will be a good day, and we are living by those words,” she said. “We are determined to carry on his legacy and make a difference in the world, just like he did.”

Hannah’s unwavering attitude and determination to do good are a testament to the values instilled in her by her father. She has shown strength and grace in the face of adversity, and her words serve as an inspiration to others.

In conclusion, Hannah Ingram-Moore has spoken out for the first time since the report’s release, addressing the controversies and clarifying her family’s stance. Her positive attitude and determination to continue her father’s legacy are a reminder of the impact one person can make in the world. We can all learn from her example, to remain hopeful and spread kindness, even in the face of challenges. As Captain Tom would say, “Tomorrow will be a good day.”
