Exclusive – Aid Group: Nigeria Has Ranked at Maximum Violence Against Christians for 8 Years Straight

The country of Nigeria, with a population of nearly 200 million people, has made headlines in recent years for its widespread violence and persecution of Christians. In fact, according to the non-profit organization Open Doors, Nigeria has ranked at the maximum level of violence against Christians for eight consecutive years. Despite these dire circumstances, the Christian community of Nigeria has continued to demonstrate remarkable resilience and faith, inspiring many with their unwavering strength and perseverance.

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, CEO of Open Doors Ryan Brown spoke about the challenges facing Nigerian Christians and the inspiring ways in which they have responded. He stated, “The Christians of Nigeria have shown remarkable resilience and faith in one of the most violent persecution climates in the world. Despite facing constant threats and attacks, they continue to hold on to their faith and trust in God, serving as a shining example to the rest of the world.”

Nigeria, a country with a history of religious diversity, has seen a dramatic increase in violence against Christians in recent years. This is largely due to the rise of radical Islamist groups such as Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen, who target Christians and their places of worship. In 2020 alone, over 2,200 Christians were killed in Nigeria, making it the number one country for Christian persecution.

Despite these alarming statistics, Nigerian Christians have refused to be silenced or intimidated. They have bravely stood up against their oppressors, determined to hold onto their faith and defend their right to worship freely. This unwavering dedication and courage is a testament to their unshakable faith and resilience.

In addition to the physical violence and attacks, Nigerian Christians also face discrimination and marginalization in many aspects of their daily lives. This includes limited access to education, job opportunities, and basic amenities. However, even in the face of such adversity, the Christian community in Nigeria has continued to support and uplift one another, creating a strong and united front against their oppressors.

The resilience of Nigerian Christians can also be seen in their response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the country struggled to contain the spread of the virus, Christians in Nigeria came together to provide aid and support to those in need, regardless of their religious beliefs. This selfless act of compassion and unity further demonstrates the strength and faith of the Christian community in Nigeria.

Despite the challenges and dangers they face, Nigerian Christians have not lost hope. They continue to hold onto their faith, trusting in God’s plan and remaining steadfast in their commitment to spread love and compassion in their communities. Their resilience and unwavering faith serve as a source of inspiration and hope not only for other Christians in Nigeria, but for believers around the world.

It is time for the world to recognize and support the brave efforts of Nigerian Christians. As Ryan Brown emphasizes, “We must continue to pray for our Nigerian brothers and sisters and stand with them in their struggle for religious freedom. We must also urge our governments to take action to protect and support these communities facing violence and persecution.”

In the face of unimaginable hardship and violence, the Christians of Nigeria have remained steadfast in their faith and unwavering in their determination. Their remarkable resilience and unwavering faith are a testament to the unbreakable spirit of the human heart. Let us stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Nigeria, and together, let us pray for an end to the violence and for a future where all can freely practice their faith and live in peace.
