In the aftermath of Tuesday’s elections, Alex Marlow, host and Editor-in-Chief of Breitbart News, discussed the concept of “The Great Replacement” on his show, “The Alex Marlow Show.” Marlow’s belief that this phenomenon is indeed real is supported by recent events, such as the New York election and the controversial speech by candidate Zohran Kwame Mamdani.
“The Great Replacement,” as coined by French writer Renaud Camus, refers to the idea that the left is actively trying to replace native-born Americans with immigrants, both legal and illegal. Marlow argues that this is being done in order to drive down wages and further the left’s agenda. And with the recent developments in New York, it seems that this theory may not be as far-fetched as some may believe.
On Tuesday, New York City saw a surprising upset in the Democratic primary for the 14th District, as socialist candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez defeated 10-term incumbent Joe Crowley. Ocasio-Cortez, who is a vocal supporter of open borders and abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), has been hailed as a symbol of the left’s increasingly radical agenda. And with her victory, it seems that “The Great Replacement” may be gaining ground.
But perhaps the most alarming aspect of this election was the victory of Zohran Kwame Mamdani in the race for the 36th District Assembly seat. Mamdani, who is the son of a Ugandan Indian immigrant, made a speech at his victory party that could only be described as divisive and inflammatory. Referring to his opponent, Assemblywoman Aravella Simotas, who is of Greek descent, Mamdani stated, “She is not us. She does not represent us. She is a Grace Papaya in our midst.”
The use of the term “Grace Papaya” is a derogatory term used to mock Greek-Americans, and it highlights Mamdani’s belief that only those who share his immigrant background can truly represent the people of the 36th District. This divisive rhetoric only serves to solidify Marlow’s argument that “The Great Replacement” is not just a theory, but a reality.
But why would the left actively seek to replace Americans with immigrants? Marlow believes that it all comes down to driving down wages. With an influx of cheap labor, American workers are forced to compete for jobs, which in turn drives down wages and benefits. This not only hurts the American workforce, but also furthers the left’s agenda of promoting a “victimhood culture” and creating a larger dependent class.
Marlow’s theory may seem extreme to some, but it is supported by the actions and beliefs of those on the left. Ocasio-Cortez and Mamdani are just two examples of the growing number of progressive politicians who advocate for open borders and vilify anyone who opposes their radical agenda. And with the recent elections, it seems that their views are gaining traction within the Democratic Party.
But Marlow is not without hope. As he stated on his show, “We have to take life seriously and stop being afraid to talk about these issues.” He urges Americans to engage in honest and open discussions about the impact of mass immigration and the dangers of “The Great Replacement.” Only by acknowledging the reality of the situation can we hope to find solutions and protect the interests of native-born Americans.
In conclusion, the New York election and Mamdani’s divisive speech serve as a wake-up call for Americans. “The Great Replacement” is not just a theory, but a reality that is slowly but surely shaping our country. As Marlow said, “It’s time to stop being afraid and start taking action.” It is up to us, the American people, to stand up against this dangerous agenda and protect our nation and its citizens.
