Van Jones: Biden Wasn’t Fit, But ‘Was in Pretty Good Shape’ When Media Saw Him

On Friday’s episode of CNN’s “The Source,” Senior Political Commentator and former Obama Adviser Van Jones made some surprising comments about President Joe Biden. During a discussion about the new audio release of Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur, Jones stated that Biden “was not up to the job.” This statement may come as a shock to some, considering that Jones is a known supporter of the Biden administration. However, Jones further clarified his remarks by saying that despite not being fit for the job, Biden “was in pretty good shape” when the media saw him.

These comments made by Jones have sparked debate and concern among the public about the President’s capabilities and ability to lead the country. As the leader of the free world, it is essential to have a strong and competent individual in charge, especially during these trying times. So, is Biden truly “not up to the job?” Let’s delve deeper into this statement and its implications.

Firstly, it is crucial to address the context of Jones’ comments. The audio clip in question was from a 2018 interview where Biden was discussing the allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. In the interview, Biden appeared to struggle with his words and had a few slips of the tongue. While this may raise some concerns, it is essential to note that this was a few years ago, and Biden has since taken office and is currently performing his duties as President of the United States.

Furthermore, Jones’ statement is not entirely negative. He does acknowledge that Biden “was in pretty good shape” when the media saw him. This is a significant aspect to consider, as the media is known to put politicians under a microscope, analyzing their every move and word. If Biden was indeed not fit for the job, the media would undoubtedly have picked up on it by now. The fact that they haven’t is a testament to Biden’s capability to handle the demands of the presidency.

Moreover, Jones’ comments do not undermine Biden’s achievements thus far. Since taking office, Biden has taken bold and decisive actions to address pressing issues such as the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change. He has also introduced several policies to promote racial equity and economic recovery. These actions demonstrate his commitment to leading the country and his ability to get things done.

It is also worth noting that Jones is not the only one who has expressed concerns about Biden’s fitness. During the presidential campaign, there were several speculations and debates about Biden’s age and health. However, the American people have put their trust in Biden and elected him as their President. This trust is not based on his physical abilities but rather on his competence and experience.

In conclusion, while Van Jones’ statement may raise some eyebrows, it is essential to consider the context and the bigger picture. Biden may not be a young and vigorous leader, but he has proved time and again that he is capable and fit to lead the country. His actions and policies reflect his dedication to the American people and his ability to make tough decisions. As for Jones’ comments, they should not overshadow Biden’s achievements and his commitment to serving as the President of the United States. So, let us have faith in our leader and support him in his efforts to make America a better place for all.
