Police appeal to locate man in his fifties who has gone missing

Spencer Wilcox, a 35-year-old resident of Cardiff, has been reported missing by his family and friends. According to the South Wales Police, he was last seen in the Rumney area of Cardiff and they are now asking for the public’s help in locating him.

Spencer was last seen on Tuesday evening, 20th July, and has not been in contact with his loved ones since then. The police are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare and are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.

In a statement released by the South Wales Police, they said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard from Spencer to get in touch with us. His family and friends are extremely worried and just want to know he is safe and well.”

Spencer is described as being around 5ft 10in tall, with a slim build and short, dark hair. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, black jeans, and white trainers. He also has a distinctive tattoo on his left arm of a dragon.

The police have been conducting extensive searches in the Rumney area and have also been following up on any leads they have received. However, they are now turning to the public for help in finding Spencer.

Detective Inspector Mark Jones, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are doing everything we can to locate Spencer and bring him back to his family. We are appealing to anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is to please come forward. Any piece of information, no matter how small, could be vital in our search.”

The news of Spencer’s disappearance has left his family and friends distraught. They have been tirelessly searching for him and are now pleading with the public to come forward with any information that could lead to his safe return.

Spencer’s sister, Sarah, said: “We are desperate to find my brother. It’s not like him to just disappear like this. We are all worried sick and just want him to know that we love him and want him to come home.”

The local community has also rallied together to help find Spencer. Posters have been put up around the Rumney area and on social media, with many people sharing the appeal for information.

A resident of Rumney, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: “I saw the posters and I just had to do something to help. I hope Spencer is found safe and sound soon.”

The South Wales Police have also asked for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the Rumney area on the evening of 20th July to come forward. They believe this could be crucial in their investigation.

Anyone with information on Spencer’s whereabouts is urged to contact the South Wales Police on 101, quoting reference number 2100274014. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

We all have a responsibility to look out for one another and come together as a community in times like this. Let’s help bring Spencer home to his family and friends.
