Police appeal to find football fan after ‘serious concerns’

South Wales Police have launched an urgent appeal to find a 61-year-old man who has gone missing in Cardiff. The man, identified as John Smith, was last seen on Monday morning in the Roath area of the city.

According to the police, Mr. Smith was reported missing by his family after he failed to return home from his morning walk. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, black trousers, and brown shoes. He is described as being 5ft 8in tall, with a medium build and short grey hair.

The police have been conducting extensive searches in the Roath area and have also appealed to the public for any information that could help locate Mr. Smith. They have also released a photo of him in the hope that someone may have seen him or have information about his whereabouts.

Inspector David Jones, who is leading the search, said, “We are extremely concerned for Mr. Smith’s welfare and are doing everything we can to find him. We urge anyone who may have seen him or have any information to come forward and speak to us.”

The news of Mr. Smith’s disappearance has caused great distress to his family and friends. They have been tirelessly searching for him and are appealing to the public to help bring him back home safely.

Mr. Smith’s daughter, Sarah, said, “My father is a kind and gentle man who would never intentionally go missing. We are extremely worried about him and just want him to come back home. If anyone has seen him or has any information, please contact the police.”

The community in Cardiff has also come together to help find Mr. Smith. Local businesses have put up posters and shared the appeal on social media in the hope of reaching a wider audience.

The police have also been using drones and search dogs to cover a larger area in their search efforts. They have also been working closely with the coastguard and mountain rescue teams.

Inspector Jones added, “We are grateful for the support we have received from the community and are doing everything we can to find Mr. Smith. We are also appealing to Mr. Smith himself to get in touch with us or his family to let us know he is safe.”

The police have urged anyone with information to contact them immediately on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 123456. They have also advised the public not to approach Mr. Smith if they see him but to call the police instead.

The appeal has also been shared by South Wales Police on their social media platforms, reaching thousands of people and increasing the chances of finding Mr. Smith.

The community of Cardiff is known for its strong sense of unity and support for one another. It is heartwarming to see everyone coming together to help find Mr. Smith and bring him back to his loved ones.

As the search continues, we can only hope and pray for Mr. Smith’s safe return. Let us all keep an eye out and do our part in spreading the word to help bring him back home.
