Mike Johnson: Democrats ‘Seem to Hate President Trump More than They Love America’

House Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana recently appeared on Fox News Channel’s “Life, Liberty & Levin” to discuss the ongoing issue of political division in Congress. The recent passage of the continuing resolution to fund the federal government highlighted the inability of both parties to come together and work towards a common goal.

During the interview, Johnson shared his frustrations with the growing divide between Democrats and Republicans, particularly when it comes to their views on President Trump. “They seem to hate President Trump more than they love America,” Johnson stated.

This statement echoes the sentiments of many Americans who have grown weary of the constant bickering and lack of progress in Washington. Instead of focusing on the needs of the country, it seems that politicians are more concerned with their personal agendas and political affiliations.

The passing of the continuing resolution, which keeps the government funded through December 11, was yet another example of this divide. Democrats refused to support the bill without additional funding for their priorities, while Republicans accused them of playing political games.

Johnson, a staunch supporter of President Trump, believes that this ongoing animosity towards the President is hindering the progress of the country. “We can’t even get to the table to have a reasonable discussion because they just can’t get past their personal animosity towards the President,” he stated.

It is disheartening to see that party lines have become more important than the well-being of the American people. In the midst of a global pandemic and economic uncertainty, it is crucial for our leaders to put aside their differences and work together for the greater good.

Johnson also pointed out that this animosity towards President Trump is not just limited to Congress but also extends to the mainstream media. He believes that the constant negative coverage of the President has only fueled the divide and made it difficult for politicians to find common ground.

Despite these challenges, Johnson remains optimistic and believes that there is still hope for unity in the future. “The American people are still watching and they still believe in this country and they still believe in the ideals that we were founded on,” he stated.

He urged both parties to put aside their differences and focus on the issues that truly matter to the American people. It is time for our leaders to prioritize the needs of the country over their personal biases and come together to find solutions for the challenges we are facing.

In conclusion, the inability of Democrats and Republicans to work together is hindering the progress of our nation. The constant animosity towards President Trump is only making this divide worse. It is time for our leaders to rise above their personal agendas and work towards a common goal for the betterment of our country. Let us hope that in the future, our politicians will put aside their differences and work towards a brighter and more united America.
